Miss Ashanti is a Chicago native who has styled hair since she was 12 years old. Many friends and family frequented in her chair over the years. Despite the popularity of her skill, Ashanti spent the majority of her career as a middle school math teacher while styling hair part time. In 2017 she became a full time stylist specializing in natural hair care.
